Following 3 different itineraries, enjoy Bike Tours on the Appian Way and discover in a eco-friendly way its naturalistic and archaeological beauties. Bike Tours on the Appian Way are a unique experience in the world! Lined with cypress trees and family tombs just as in the ancient Roman times, the Appian Way still maintains its charm after more than two thousand years. It was the first “super highway” in Europe and is still one of Rome’s top attractions (it can be visited on foot as well). In Roman times, it was Rome’s main military and economic artery and is substantially still intact. It may be the oldest road currently in use!

Route A will lead you to discover the Caffarella Valley and the first three miles of the Ancient Appian Way, the majestic Cecilia Metella Tomb and the monumental area of Massenzio Emperor (including the Circus, Villa and the Mausoleum of Romolo). Then, Route B will bring you to explore an incessant series of different tombs, with the possibility to include also a guided tour into the Catacombs of St. Callixtus or St. Sebastian. Finally, Route C will allow you to ride among sepulchers, thermal baths, aristocratic villas up to the gem of the Roman engineering, the Aqueductus Park. For your ride, you will have the chance to choose between a E-bike or a city-bike, booking directly online your favorite bike!
