Located in the foothills of the Apennine mountains between Parma and Reggio Emilia, Roncolo 1888 is part of Tenuta Venturini Baldini, an avant-garde agricultural estate. Since the beginning focused on sustainable farming, the estate has been certified organic since 1994, shortly after the legislation on organic production came into effect. Today the estate produces award-winning organic wines, balsamic vinegar and olive oils, as well as being home to the Wine & Balsamic Relais Roncolo 1888.
Organic production is a sign of respect for the territory and the environment, a bond with the terroir that starts in the vineyards and extends into all the other areas of the estate. All of the vineyards are cultivated organically, and this philosophy equally applies to the choice of partners and way of life on the estate.
At Roncolo 1888, rooms & suites are located in three buildings. Located in the 17th century Villa Manodori, six elegant rooms and suites with original frescoes are reminders of the rich history of the aristocratic house. On the other side, rooms in Dimora Ancini and Acetaia welcome you in a cosy atmosphere and are furnished with natural fabrics and modern antiques.
Restaurant “La Limonaia” welcomes you for lunch and dinner in the historic greenhouse of Roncolo 1888. Enjoy a modern Emilian cuisine in a unique location of great charm. Bathed in light, with a splendid terrace overlooking the green Matildic hills, the restaurant is a place where the fine dining experience finds a green dimension of tranquillity and well-being, while maintaining the estate’s respect for biodiversity and sustainability.
