Il Cavicchio is an eco-friendly agriturismo located 15 minutes from Bologna medieval centre, Emilia Romagna. It’s composed of five beautiful rooms and two stylish apartments with all comforts, a pool, books in all rooms, fire-place in the living-room, a wide garden… And surrounded all around by rolling fields, golden vineyards, lunar clay valleys and multifarious woods, walks, hiking and biking trails.
The pool, beside of guaranteeing the maximum comfort and tranquillity, doesn’t involve the use of chlorine tablets. It’s taken care following the natural way, with common table salt dissolved into the water to sanitize and assure the maximum level of hygiene.
Since breakfast is an essential moment of the day, and at Il Cavicchio you will find a rich buffet of sweet and savory: cakes, biscuits, jams produced here on property, yogurt, fresh and dried fruit, croissants, chocolate spread, fruit juices, fresh milk, coffee and tea, Parma ham, Parmesan cheese. During summer time, breakfast takes place in the “Wisteria Porch”, surrounded by the green lawn, multicolor flowers and the landscape of fields.
In short, Cavicchio is eco-sustainable because it is based on low energy consumption. For instance, they heat rooms and water with a combination of environment-friendly sources, such as an energy-saving fast heater and a wood boiler. On the other hand, solar thermal panels exploit sun light. All the electricity used comes from renewable sources. Moreover, hydraulic system is designed to promote an intelligent consumption: gardens and vegetables are irrigated with the water coming from three reservoirs filled with rainwater.
Legambiente, the Leading Environmental Association in Italy, has certified the farm with the acknowledgement of “Climate Friends”. Legambiente, in fact, witnessed and attested the continuous efforts to minimize the polluting impact of everyday activities, marked by respect of nature.
