Al-Marnich farmhouse (Organic Farm Como) is a unique and special place, set in an original old rural farmhouse from the end of the 18th century, which offers a familiar atmosphere, panoramic views of the valley and a characteristic and genuine cuisine with only ingredients from organic farming and / or “0” km.
When Emanuele Bonfiglio bought the estate, consisting of three quaint nineteenth century farmsteads in the lush Valley d’Intelvi in 1995, Al-Marnich was born. He had a vision and as an agricultural entrepreneur from Milano, he quickly saw a lot of possibillities. Today, the Al-Marnich Farm and Nature Resort has preserved all the natural beauty and characteristic of a bygone era. Located only 8 km from Lake Como’s shoreline, it offers guests a trip back in time that reminds of the vibrant country lifestyle.
Rooms are well appointed with bedding and facilities to accommodate couples or families who wish to experience the pure and natural surroundings. The Farm boasts a rustic restaurant, which is open every day: here you can sample traditional dishes as well as the local speciality dishes. It’s not just the imaginative cuisine which leaves a memorable taste in your mouth, but also the loving way in which each ingredient is carefully added to help you have the best culinary experience possible. From its own fields so much natural and healthy food is created: cheeses, goat’s smallgoods (e.g. salami), jams made from local raspberries and blackberries, vegetables, the local delicious wild honey.
