Discover the Uccellina Park while taking a memorable carriage ride in the Maremma! From the comfort of an environment-friendly carriage, you will travel through forests where deer and foxes live. You will discover valleys where clear streams flow, steep peaks rising above, vast expanses of sunflower and wheat fields, and stunning pine trees that border the sea. But that’s not all! This extraordinary sustainable adventure also provides you the possibility to admire herds of wild Maremma cows. It will also lead you to Neolithic-era caverns.

Enrico Cheli, who founded Carrozze di Maremma in 2007 in Maremma, discovered his fascination for everything that concerns horses and started his career in horse-riding when he was in his 20’s. Later on, he transformed his passion into his actual career over the time. Enrico became a horse trainer and breeder first, then an equestrian environmental guide in 2011.

Carriages and coaches began to intrigue him too, so he began to approach horse-harness as a self-learner in the interim. Enrico’s work is inspired by his curiosity and desire to learn new things, and soon after that, he and his horse-loving friend Raul start restoring antique wagons and building self-built carriages with bus-style seating so that everyone could enjoy a better view during their panoramic tours.

Reach Enrico’s farm in Alberese, next to Parco Regionale della Maremma (Tuscany), where he also breeds cinta senese pigs, alpacas, beside of horses (of course!). In his vegetable garden, he grows the ingredients – strictly products at zero distance – for one of the best Panzanellas you’ll ever have, including melons, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions!
